Your book and these posts bring tears to my eyes. You express everthing so well. I began a career in teaching after graduation from College, always wondering how ti individualize education. When I began my training, I knew It was the answer I was seeking. Thank you for sharing your views.

I SO relate. I was not the model child in school and had no higher ambitions than "make it through", but with a great trainer and ability to find joy in discovering the world together with children, I find myself 27 years in teaching and with a masters. But I only made it this far because there was joy. How often do we make sure that joy is present for children? I share my journey with students as someone who couldn't spell, had the worst handwriting and never heard or understood instructions and yet I made it this far because I was interested and kept trying (and had forgiving, understanding people in my life who fostered instead of squashing my ambitions - thank you teachers!).

This brought me back to my first day of training, both ecstatic and terrified, listening to Sig. Grazzini in 1985. But like you I knew this was not just a career, but a way of life to help children pursue whoever they choose to be.
