I tried this today - had to stop myself from getting the material off the shelf myself as it's something I found out I enjoy doing. It's a necessary sacrifice, I guess :D And a very effective one.
So great that you were able to pause and think about it! I love that! It will be neat to see the differences in teh children as you make a new pratice!
